Thou Art a Butterfly poem by J. S. Summers about transformation, personal growth and becoming who you are meant to be

Thou Art A Butterfly 💗

I have always loved the poetry of John Keats.

There is something about the beauty, romance and vivid imagery in his writing that has stayed with me.

Thou Art a Butterfly was written with a little of that Romantic spirit in mind.

It is about those rare people who seem to move gently through life, never needing to be the loudest person in the room, yet somehow leaving a little more warmth, kindness and beauty wherever they go.

Like a butterfly passing briefly through our lives, sometimes the gentlest souls leave the deepest impressions.

Thou Art a Butterfly

Thou art a butterfly

with fuchsia wings

and a heart of gold,

scattering kindness

like sunlight

wherever thou dost go.

Flying.

Dancing.

Loving.

Living.

Never without purpose—

but born to bring

a little more beauty

into this world,

and rest,

if only for a moment,

upon the many

broken hearts

thy gentle light

has touched.
