The Light Around
The Black Vortex
The Light Around the Black Vortex is about those moments when something painful becomes so big it feels like it swallows everything else.
Fear. Grief. Pain. Chaos.
Sometimes they pull so much of our attention towards the darkness that it becomes difficult to see anything beyond it.
But the darkness is never the whole picture.
Somewhere around the edge of it, even when we can barely see it, there is still light.
Still hope.
Still something waiting for us to notice it again.
The Light Around the Black Vortex
When bad things happen,
a black hole forms.
It pulls in the light,
the life,
the focus.
Everything bends
towards the darkness.
No matter how hard you try,
it is difficult
to look away.
And once you are caught
inside its pull,
once fear has wrapped itself
around your thoughts,
escape can feel
almost impossible.
But just beyond
that malevolent vortex,
just outside
the reach of all it tries
to consume,
there is still
a golden light.
Untouched.
Unclaimed.
Unswallowed
by the dark.
Not the event horizon,
not the point
of no return,
but the place
where darkness ends
and hope
still refuses
to be taken.
A heavenly ring
around the edge
of all that hurts.
A reminder
that no matter how dark
life becomes,
no matter how much
the chaos demands
our attention,
the light
has not disappeared.
It is still there.
Quiet.
Patient.
Waiting
for us to notice it again.
And sometimes,
survival begins
not by staring
into the black hole,
not by giving darkness
all of our eyes,
but by turning gently
towards the light
that still surrounds it.
Because even
in our most difficult moments,
even when pain
feels endless,
hope remains.
And somewhere
beyond the pull
of all that hurts,
the light
is still calling us home.
