The Blindfold ❤️
I think there’s something incredibly intimate about being able to close your eyes and completely trust someone you love.
Not knowing what comes next, but feeling safe, wanted and cherished in their arms.
Sometimes the smallest touches, the gentlest kisses and the quietest moments can stir the strongest emotions.
“The Blindfold” is a romantic, sensual poem about love, trust, vulnerability and the anticipation of a kiss.
Because sometimes, when we take away one of our senses, we discover just how deeply we can feel with the others.
And some kisses stay with us long after our lips have parted. ❤️
The Blindfold
I lay you down,
So gently,
Upon your bed,
A playful smile
Upon my lips,
A thousand thoughts
Inside your head.
I place a blindfold
In your hands,
And whisper softly,
“Trust in me.”
You smile,
A little curious,
Then close your eyes
And let me see
The beauty
Of your vulnerability.
The world grows dark.
The room falls still.
No words,
No movement,
Just the gentle rhythm
Of your breath.
Until…
A sudden warmth
Against your skin,
A tender breath
Upon your navel,
Slowly tracing
An invisible heart.
Not drawn in ink,
Nor written in words,
But felt
Upon your skin,
A silent promise
Of the love within.
And then…
A kiss.
So soft,
So gentle,
It almost feels
Like a dream.
Another follows,
Then another,
Each one lingering
A little longer,
Each one carrying
A thousand things
My heart longs to say.
Slowly,
I make my way
Towards the place
I’ve longed to find.
Not guided by sight,
But by desire,
By love,
By every little thing
That draws my heart
To yours.
Until…
At last,
I find your lips.
And there,
For one perfect moment,
The world stands still.
One tender kiss,
Then deeper,
Firmer,
Our hearts surrendering
To the warmth
Of love,
The hunger
Of desire,
The beautiful fire
Of passion.
No need for words.
No need for sight.
Just you.
Just me.
And everything
We feel
But cannot see.
And when the blindfold
Falls away,
And the world
Comes rushing back,
I hope you’ll close
Your eyes once more,
And feel that kiss
Upon your lips.
For some kisses
Are felt upon the skin.
But others…
Are written
Upon the heart.
Forever felt.
Never forgotten.
