Black diamond emerging from darkness, symbolising pressure, pain, strength and transformation in the poem Pressure — Black Diamond.

Pressure – Black Diamond 🖤

Some pain changes you.

It builds slowly, pressing down in ways nobody else can see, until it feels as though even the smallest piece of light is being pulled away.

Pressure – Black Diamond came from the idea that the things that almost break us can also change us into something different.

Not untouched.

Not unbroken.

Not the person we were before.

But still here.

Like a black diamond formed under enormous pressure, sometimes we carry the darkness with us — but somehow, we carry the memory of the light too.

Pressure – Black Diamond

Life becomes heavy

in ways no one can see.

Like gravity,

unyielding.

Like a black hole

pulling everything inward.

Even light tries to escape,

but some pain

has its own orbit.

It stays.

Circling the chest.

Pressing against the ribs.

Sinking deeper

than words can reach.

Pressure.

Building.

Tightening.

Crushing.

A heart

that once loved

with everything it had

begins to slow.

Not because it wanted to.

Because it gave too much.

Held too much.

Broke too quietly.

Until one day,

it stopped beating loudly

for the world.

Frozen in time.

Still waiting.

Still hoping

for something.

For someone.

For one small beam of light

to find its way through

the endless dark.

But maybe

some hearts

do not disappear

under pressure.

Maybe they change.

Maybe the weight

that almost destroyed them

becomes the force

that makes them rare.

Not untouched.

Not unbroken.

Not the same.

But stronger

than anyone realised.

A black diamond,

formed in darkness,

carrying the memory of light.
