Dark surreal artwork of an eye above water, representing overwhelming thoughts and mental health struggles in I Just Want to Scream.

I Just Want To Scream

I wrote I Just Want to Scream when I was 18.

I wasn’t in a good place.

My mental health was at an all-time low and life felt hard. Really hard.

There was so much going on inside my head that I didn’t really know what to do with it.

So I decided to take all the pain I was feeling

and put it on the page.

This is what came out.

I JUST WANT TO SCREAM

The voice in my head

just won’t shut up.

You’re ugly.

You’re stupid.

You don’t deserve love.

No one will ever love you.

I hate you.

I hate you.

I hate you…

Aggghhhhh.

Please just shut up.

Go away.

Go the fuck away.

I scream.

Loud.

Louder.

Louder than I ever have.

Until nothing is left inside of me.

Not even another breath.
