A couple lying together in a peaceful wildflower meadow, watching white clouds drift across a beautiful blue summer sky.

Chasing Clouds ๐Ÿ’—

Do you remember lying on the grass when you were younger, looking up at the clouds and imagining all the different shapes you could see?

I know I do! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Faces, animals, strange creatures and sometimes things that didn’t look like anything at all! ๐Ÿ˜…

It’s funny how, as children, we could spend ages doing something so simple and yet feel completely happy.

But somewhere along the way, life gets busy. There are always things to do, places to be and something else demanding our time.

And sometimes I think we forget just how wonderful it can be to do absolutely nothing.

Especially when we’re sharing those little moments with someone we love.

“Chasing Clouds” is a poem about slowing down, enjoying the simple things in life and making memories with someone special.

Because perhaps some of our most beautiful memories aren’t made when we’re doing something extraordinary…

But when we’re doing nothing at all. ๐Ÿค

Chasing Clouds

Come, lie beside me

beneath the endless blue,

where heaven opens softly

and clouds drift by

like pale, unspoken dreams.

We will watch them changeโ€”

from faces

into places,

from forgotten afternoons

into people

we once loved.

For a moment,

the sky will hold

everything we have lost,

and everything

we are still hoping

to become.

Come, lie beside me.

Let the world continue

in all its hurried noiseโ€”

chasing hours,

counting minutes,

always reaching

for somewhere else.

We will remain here,

beneath the quiet sky,

with nothing to prove

and nowhere we need to be.

Just you.

Just me.

Just clouds unfolding

above us.

And perhaps

years from now,

when this day has become

another distant shape

inside our memories,

we will still remember

how the whole world

seemed to drift away,

while we lay together

and

discovered

the freedom

of being still.
