After the Storm, Summer Is Never Far Away is a poem about the people who find us during some of our darkest moments.
They cannot erase what has happened or take away every hurt. Sometimes they simply stay — offering kindness, warmth and a reminder that somewhere beneath the pain, a part of us is still holding on.
It is about the kind of love that does not try to rescue us, but helps us remember the light that still exists within us. 🤍
After the Storm, Summer Is Never Far Away
Waves unleash their fury,
breaking his heart,
his mind,
his soul.
Broken,
he lies among the darkness
that consumes him
from within.
Then she appeared—
not to rescue him,
but to remind him
that light still existed.
She reached through
everything that hurt
and found the part of him
that had not given up.
She did not ask him
to hide his darkness.
She simply stayed
until it felt less heavy.
And slowly,
where pain had taken root,
something beautiful
began growing again.
Some people do not
merely arrive in your life.
They bring summer
back with them.
